# Sponsorship in the Suppoter Center

Sponsorships are highly dependent on user types, please review the user documentation first.

If user is a sponsor, they will see the following:

  • Supporter center navigation will display My child sponsorships menu item
  • Notifications on dashboard and child profile pages will display
    • Information about child's birthday
    • Notifications about the delinquent payments
  • A section with heading Child sponsorships and id sponsorship will appear to all users on the dashboard. If a user is an active sponsor the section will have a heading My child sponsorships and display a list of sponsored children. Otherwise the heading Child sponsorships and a note only.
  • Custom child or program pages will be viewable by the user by clicking on an individual profile on the dashboard
  • Manage My Giving page will display a list of sponsorship gifts and child name associated with each gift

# Transition to Team Tomorrow

A pilot program for transition to Team Tomorrow has been implemented in a ticket CHILDSPON-452 (opens new window).

Two key parts were implemented in the pilot program.:

  • A user must have a custom boolean Pilot TT Conversions set on their profile
  • A BBCRM end point must return a gift as of type

# Changes to notifications

A new notification on the dashboard will appear, notifying one of sponsorship changes if they have a custom boolean Pilot TT Conversions set on their profile

# Changes to child sponsorship section on dashboard

A section with heading Changes to child sponsorship and id sponsorship-changes will appear to the user on the dashboard if a custom boolean Pilot TT Conversions set on their profile. A section will lead users to a custom supporter center page (opens new window) with FAQs about the sponsorship changes. People without a flag on their profile will be redirected to the homepage.

# Manage My Giving page

Manage My Sponsorship Gifts section will appear:

  • If a user is a sponsor, and has at least one active sponsorship gift
  • If a user is a donor or sponsor and is part of the Team Tomorrow transition A warning notification will appear in the If user is an active sponsor or donor the notification will appear at the bottom of the sponsorship section. Converted gifts will come from BBCRM as donations will appear in the Recurring Gifts section.
